About Me

I am a clinical social worker who is rediscovering my old love for music

and a new love for the harp. Thanks to Margaret Sanzo Sneddo, I actually

found just the right one to purchase and now have to find a teacher who

can give me a few lessons. After years of childhood piano lessons and

lots of basic theory, I am  believing I can learn this lovely instrument.

Just wish I was closer to NYC. Living out on the eastern end of Long

Island is a beautiful experience in many ways but it can be isolating.

If anyone knows of a teacher on the north fork, I'd appreciate any

names to contact. I look forward to connecting more with the Hudson

Harp Consort even if only by the web for awhile.

About Me

Discovered the harp midlife, and have never looked back!

Graduate of MHTP, teach a few harp students, write & arrange some music for harp, and pluck those strings whenever and wherever I can!

About Me

I'm a lapsed classical harp student, having studied with Lucien Thomson when he and Sam Milligan lived in downtown NYC.  Time, mortages, and Lucien's passing took their toll, but the harp has remained a great source of joy and relaxation.  Right now, I would describe myself as a papertrained closet harpist with an interest in classical, contemplative, sacred and popular music.  I own a Lyon and Healey 23, which may as well be nailed to the floor, and a Dusty 36 which fits in the back of  my car and allows me to play duets with friends. I'd describe my abilities as intermediate, and would welcome the opportunity to get back to enjoying the social aspects and challenge of reuniting with the harp world.

About Me

I am a student of Margaret at Mozartina in Tarrytown.  I have been studying harp since 2005.   In my other life I teach second grade, and have a husband and three children ages 14, 19, and 25. My picture was taken during a visit to Argentina, as I tried a Peruvian style harp in the park.   I am excited about the Hudson Harp Consort!
