I'm a lapsed classical harp student, having studied with Lucien Thomson when he and Sam Milligan lived in downtown NYC. Time, mortages, and Lucien's passing took their toll, but the harp has remained a great source of joy and relaxation. Right now, I would describe myself as a papertrained closet harpist with an interest in classical, contemplative, sacred and popular music. I own a Lyon and Healey 23, which may as well be nailed to the floor, and a Dusty 36 which fits in the back of my car and allows me to play duets with friends. I'd describe my abilities as intermediate, and would welcome the opportunity to get back to enjoying the social aspects and challenge of reuniting with the harp world.
